December is the one month in the year that is in parallel both business critical to win forecasted orders and is also the month with the highest risk of people and processes not meeting deadlines.
December 30th – Last day for a PO / Contract Signed
December 23rd – Last day for a customer to request a PO
December 18th – Last day all decision makers approve the purchase
December 15th – Last day for contract terms to be agreed
December 11th – Last day for a resourced rollout / implementation plan to be agreed
December 9th – Last day for technical sign off – scope, size, migration, integration & deployment
Assumes the following are already completed:
-Reference checks with other users
-Customer’s business case showing the value & payback time for the project
-Financing method agreed
